Ahead Of His Visit To Nigeria, US Secretary Of States John Kerry Lands In Kenya. Photos

Secretary John Kerry has this evening arrived in Nairobi, he was received by Ambassador Robert F. Godec, Kenya’s Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Amina Mohammed and Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary Monica Juma. The U.S. envoy is expected in Nigeria on Aug. 23 to discuss U.S. cooperation with Nigeria over Boko Haram, economy and human rights issues.
In Kenya, Secretary Kerry will meet with President Kenyatta to discuss regional security issues and counterterror cooperation, as well as Kenya’s 2017 elections. He will also meet with Kenyan Foreign Minister Amina Mohamed and other regional foreign ministers to discuss the ongoing challenges in the region, including South Sudan. He will have the opportunity to meet with participants of the Young African Leaders Initiative and the Mandela Washington Fellows programs.
