A man was arrested in Ghana for voting twice in the general elections. According to reports making the rounds online, the young man approached Electoral Commission officials to receive the ballot for the presidential election. He went through the Biometric Verification Machine (BVM) to check his information and was asked to sign the manual verification sheet.
The man reportedly headed to the voting screen after he was issued with the presidential ballot only to be spotted pulling another ballot out of his pocket. Election officials and political party representatives rushed to stop the man from dropping the ballots in the presidential ballot box. The man was arrested and sent to the Old Tafo Police station.
